Therapy for High-Achieving Adults Navigating Burnout, Identity, and Connection
Finding My Path
I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of the human experience — why we think, feel, and relate the way we do. As a child, I loved riding in the car and watching people pass by, each carrying a whole world within them. Even then, I sensed that every person had stories, dreams, and struggles hidden beneath the surface — just like me.
My curiosity about people led me to ask big questions: Who am I? What is my purpose? I spent years searching for answers in philosophy, religion, and self-help books, hoping to find a clear direction. Eventually, I realized there was no single path waiting to be discovered. That realization felt overwhelming at first — but ultimately freeing. I learned that meaning isn’t something we find; it’s something we create, moment by moment, through our choices and relationships.
The Turning Point
Motivated by a deep desire to help others, I built a career in social services. The work was meaningful, but I found myself burnt out and disconnected. Like many high achievers, I was pouring everything into others while losing touch with myself. I realized I couldn’t keep thriving professionally at the expense of my own emotional wellbeing.
The people I served often felt more cared for by me than my own family did, and that truth was hard to face. Despite my professional success, guilt and shame overshadowed the joy I felt in helping others. I knew something had to change — I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives without neglecting the people (and parts of myself) I cared about most.
What I Discovered
Through trial and error, I uncovered a truth that continues to shape my work today:
The way we relate to ourselves shapes the quality of every relationship we have.
When I began practicing self-compassion, patience, and forgiveness, my relationships transformed. I became less defensive, more present, and more connected — both personally and professionally. That shift not only deepened my relationships, it helped me experience a sense of freedom and peace I had been chasing for years.
This insight fuels my passion for helping others who find themselves in similar cycles — people who give so much to others but struggle to feel fulfilled or connected in return.
How I Can Help
Today, I work with individuals who are ready to feel more grounded, connected, and at ease — in their relationships, careers, and within themselves. My approach blends relational-cultural therapy with reflective, insight-oriented work. I bring humor, authenticity, and collaboration into every session so therapy feels like a genuine relationship, not a performance.
Clients often describe our work as both gentle and challenging in the best way: a space where honesty, compassion, and growth can coexist.
If you’re ready to feel more confident and connected to yourself and the people you love, you don’t have to figure it out alone. We can navigate it together.
