About Me.

I’ve always been fascinated by the complexity of the human experience. As a child, one of my favorite pastimes was riding in the car. I would gaze out the window in awe of the uniqueness of each person roaming the busy streets. What amazed me even more was the realization that an entire world existed within each person, just like my own!

My curiosities about the world and the people in it led me to grapple with big existential questions such as “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose?” I studied many religious and philosophical texts as well as countless self-help books. Yet, I couldn’t find a clear answer.

After years of searching and exploration, I concluded that there was no singular predetermined purpose waiting to be discovered. Although initially overwhelmed by infinite possibilities,  I eventually found freedom in the power to choose who I want to be and how I want to show up in the world.

Motivated by a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others, I dove head-first into a high–pressure career in social services. The work was highly rewarding, yet incredibly exhausting. I was on the fast-track to complete burnout. It was not long before I decided that I was no longer willing to thrive professionally at the cost of feeling disconnected from myself and others.

The  people I served at work felt more connected and cared for by me than my own family. Despite my professional achievements, shame and guilt overshadowed the joy, as I struggled to bridge the emotional divide between myself and the people I care about most. I was committed to finding a sustainable way of making a difference without neglecting the people I care about most.

Through trial and error, I uncovered a profound truth: the way I relate to myself significantly shapes the quality of my relationships with others. It was not until I learned to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving toward myself that I began to connect more deeply and behave less defensively with others. To my surprise, I even noticed that my work performance and quality of professional relationships became significantly more rich and meaningful. This realization not only transformed my life but it now fuels my passion for helping other people who are currently facing similar challenges.
